What’s included

Turnkey means turnkey.

1

Field measurement

We measure anchor points, assess what the sail attaches to, note sun path and show fabric samples. The visit fee is credited in full when you add installation.

2

Layout, post heights and color. If you pursue a permit, a third-party engineer provides stamped plans and we build to them.

3

Posts & footings

Utility locate, dig, set steel posts with the right rake, and pour footings.

4

Install & tension

Hang, tension and fine-tune the sail, then walk you through seasonal care and take-down.

Local and licensed

Why local install matters here.

Arizona sails live a hard life: intense UV, 115° summers and monsoon gusts. The difference between a sail that lasts and one that sags in a season is almost always in the posts, footings and tension, not the fabric.

Because we fabricate and install, the sail is patterned from the posts we actually set — not from estimates taken before the concrete went in.

Common questions

Installation FAQ.

Which areas do you install in?
Anywhere in Arizona. We’re based in Phoenix and install across the Valley every week, including Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale, Peoria, Surprise, Goodyear, Avondale, Buckeye, Queen Creek, Cave Creek, Fountain Hills and Paradise Valley, and we travel statewide for projects elsewhere in Arizona. We also ship sails and kits anywhere in the U.S.
Do you install sails bought somewhere else?
Yes, if the sail and hardware are in good condition and suitable for your anchors. We’ll look at photos first and tell you honestly whether it’s worth installing.
Can a shade sail attach to my house?
Often, yes — into structural framing, a beam or masonry with the right anchor. Never into stucco, a gutter or fascia trim alone. We check the structure on the site visit and add a post where the house can’t take the load.
Do I need HOA approval?
Many Valley HOAs require architectural approval for shade structures. We provide drawings, color samples and specs for your application.
Do you handle engineering and permits?
We include a site assessment and a recommendation, but an as-built or structural-integrity evaluation and any stamped plans or calculations come from a third-party structural engineer. Those are needed if you choose to pursue a permit. Permitting and approvals (city and HOA) are the property owner’s responsibility, working with the engineer — we don’t do permitting. If the engineer calls for bracing, brackets or reinforcement, we can manufacture and install them under a separate quote.
What warranty comes with a shade sail?
Three parts: the fabric carries the manufacturer’s 10-year limited warranty against UV degradation; our workmanship (seams and stitching) is warranted for 90 days, including 100% of labor; and installation, performed by our separately licensed Arizona contracting company, carries the state-required 2-year installation warranty, with limited labor. Hardware and powder coating are not covered by a warranty.
How do I take the sail down before a storm, and put it back up?
Whether a sail needs to come down for storms is your engineer’s call, based on city code for these structures — and we’ll show you how at installation. Our systems typically use “block and tackle” tensioners at two corners: release the cleat and the membrane relaxes and unloads within seconds. One person on an A-frame ladder can then unclip the other two fixed corners. It goes back up just as easily with the block and tackle.
